1400 bicycles!
When several of our partners asked us how they could help us face the COVID-19 pandemic, the Anatrans corona management team was quick to point out that our workers were badly impacted by the suspension of public transport services: most had no other alternative than to walk to work for an hour or two each day.
And so the idea was born to acquire bicycles for our workers: Anatrans and the employees would each finance 25% and we were looking for support for the remaining 50% of the purchase price. The response was fantastic and helped us reach a total of 1400 bicycles for our workers. This week we handed over the first consignment to their new owners.
Partly supported by Nuts2’s foundation WhiteBird, we would like to thank:
- Mary Adzanyo and the team at ComCashew as well as the African Cashew Alliance
- Tomas de la Serna and the team at Incofin Investment Management
- Jerome Poulin and the team at responsAbility Investments AG
